The University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering celebrated the graduation of more than 600 engineers on Thursday, May 9 at the Fertitta Center.

The proud graduates included: 427 bachelor’s, 141 master’s, and 45 doctoral students.

The spring 2019 commencement featured a keynote address from Chang OH Turkmani, Managing Director at the Mega Company and Engineering Leadership Board Member (ELB).

The UH Cullen College of Engineering hosted its 30th annual Offshore Industry Crawfish Boil on Sunday, May 5 at Lynn Eusan Park.

Thousands of alumni, faculty, students and industry leaders gathered to network and mingle as they enjoyed crawfish, bbq, beer, drinks and live music.

Since its inception, the annual spring event has raised over $1 million with proceeds benefitting engineering scholarship and academic programs.

Terrance “Terri” Ivers, P.E. (BSME ’80), is coming home to the UH Cullen College of Engineering as the featured speaker at its commencement on Dec. 13 at the NRG Arena. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from UH in 1980 and has remained involved in the Cullen College community throughout the course of his 37 year-long career.
