Abstract

Several selected topics will be presented to describe the main features of the Operations environment, and to illustrate what types of decisions and challenges Operational professionals are facing every day in Vallourec Group, VAM® USA .

Biography

Cedric is a global operations executive leader. He worked 6 years in the European automotive industry, going from an operational Supervisor role in a plant to the Project Manager on several new vehicle project teams. In 2008, he joined the Vallourec Group – Oil and Gas – as a Corporate Controlling Manager in Europe. In 2011, Cedric transferred to the USA, where he quickly took the lead on a $1 billion Project Controls department in Ohio. In 2013,Cedric returned to Houston to manage industrial performance for the North America plants. In 2015, Cedric began overseeing the Operations of VAM USA – a Vallourec subsidiary – as a General Manager and was appointed Vice-President in 2017. Cedric holds 2 French master’s degrees in Industrial Management, and an Executive MBA from Rice University. Jerome is a technical manager at the VAM® USA manufacturing plant. He started working at Vallourec as an intern coming out of college in 2006 and has grown through different roles in the Operations team of the group since then. He started as a Manufacturing engineer in Houston, then worked as a Project engineer for an integrated mill in Brazil, before returning to Houston for a Production management role and then an Industrialization manager role. In 2018 he took over his current role in which he manages the production and maintenance Process teams as well as the CAPital Expenditure projects for the VAM® USA plant. Jerome holds a French master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
