The evolution of industry will require engineers trained in cutting-edge strategies to be able to solve the challenges of preventive maintenance. The world continues to rely more and more in automated and interconnected machinery that can run faster, longer and delivering ever increasing levels of precision and quality. When the machinery breaks down, processes slow down or stop altogether, proper Asset Management and Reliability is needed to predict and eliminate breakdowns. Proper Asset Management and Reliability also ensure that machinery run efficiently, conserving energy and reducing the environmental impact and carbon footprint. This presentation will introduce students to Asset Management and Reliability and some of the cutting edge strategies and technologies that are being used in the maintenance and management of machinery. In addition, the presentation will introduce the UPTIME Elements, a framework to better understand all the strategies that play a role in Asset Management and Reliability
Eric Ayanegui is one of the Technical leaders at CINTAS Corporation. He directs engineering, reliability, quality, and safety initiatives in industrial sites across North America. He is a member of the CINTAS Corporate Executive Faculty, teaching reliability and asset management. He has over 28 years of experience in technical roles in production, engineering, quality, manufacturing, distribution, and safety, involved in award-winning industry leading efforts in Reliability and Safety. He also serves as a member of the advisory boards of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Houston, University of Minnesota and Lawrence Technological University, a member of the advisory board of the College of Business and Information Technology at Lawrence Tech, Member of the advisory board of Industrial Technology at University of Texas –Tyler. He served as the Past President of TODOS, CINTAS’ Diversity and Inclusion Employee Resource Group. He and his team have received multiple UPTIME Awards from International Maintenance Conference. He holds certifications as Certified Plant Maintenance Manager and Certified Reliability Leader, and BS degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston
