Dr. Tan's research focuses on Intelligent Biomedical Manufacturing, the development and optimization of artificial intelligence reinforced advanced manufacturing technologies for biomedicine. His work has applications in engineered human tissues, polymer micro/nanofibers, multifunctional alloy implants, antimicrobial catheter coatings, and lab-on-a-chip devices.
